Applying the optimal pressure and ideal flow rate to the nozzle of the Driver Assistance System

Clean sensors ensure a safe driving experience. Discover Kendrion's Electromagnetic 3/2-Way Valves for ADAS

The electromagnetic 3/2-way valves are suitable for a range of applications, including battery cooling, distribution of pressurized air in air suspension systems or Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS). Parking, lane-keeping, overtaking, adaptive cruise control... Everyday driving maneuvers have become easier and safer thanks to ADAS.

Optical sensors and cameras play a critical role in these systems, enabling a vehicle to sense the surrounding environment while on the move. But if these sensors or cameras become obscured by (for example) snow, rain, dust, bugs, or bird droppings, their readings become unreliable. Then, drivers must take full control of the wheel themselves.

Our electromagnetic 3/2-way valves help keep rear cameras, and rear windshields, clean and reliable. The valves distribute cleaning media (air, water, cleaning fluid) to the cleaning system’s nozzle with the right pressure and flowrate. Fluid usage is efficient, while medium consumption is kept to a minimum.

Don’t cut corners on road safety.
Sometimes it’s the smallest things that can make a big difference. Take ADAS systems, which play an increasingly important role in road safety. Using sensors and cameras, they detect nearby obstacles or even driver errors, and react accordingly. But they only work when their sensors and cameras are clean. So, sensor cleaning is not the place to cut corners!
