Kendrion Newsroom

Kendrion expands its Pure Flow Line by introducing a new High Flow Pressure Regulator designed for dynamically changing flow rates. It is available in two variants: the HFF 48.4, which features a flange connection, and the HFC 48.5, which has a cartridge design suitable for integration into manifold plates. This regulator precisely controls flow rates from 0.1 to 250 l/min and incorporates inlet-pressure and flow-rate compensation to ensure a consistent outlet pressure. It can handle inlet pressures up to 10 bar.

With the new SHS (Small Heating System), Kendrion brings industrial low-temperature induction heating into the power range up to 2 kW. The solution is designed for smaller machines and automated processes, where precise process heat is often generated using slow-reacting or energy-intensive heating systems. Its primary target groups are machine builders and OEMs across the food, packaging, textile, and plastics industries.

Kendrion introduces the FIO Drive Control STO, marking its first integration of a SIL 3/PL e-certified Safe Torque Off (STO) function into the modular FIO drive solution. This compact 4-quadrant servo drive for stepper and BLDC motors incorporates the dual-channel STO directly into the module, allowing safe torque shutdown without needing an extra STO module, all within a mere 25 millimeters of width.

Kendrion 3T empowers manufacturers to master DALI-2. As intelligent lighting and building automation advance, DALI-2 has solidified its position as the internationally recognized reference framework for interoperable lighting control. While the DALI protocol itself appears straightforward, developing devices that reliably fulfill the IEC 62386 standard and attain DALI-2 certification entails considerable technical challenges. Kendrion 3T partners with manufacturers throughout all phases of development, optimizing procedures, minimizing risks, and expediting their path toward certification.

Kendrion combines an ultra-compact design, cost efficiency, and dependable European manufacturing. Battery-powered locking systems are becoming increasingly important in applications such as parcel lockers, locker systems, vending machines, and medical equipment and medication cabinets. At the same time, manufacturers face growing demands for energy efficiency, compact design, and supply chain reliability. The challenge is to develop compact, dependable locking solutions that maximize battery life while remaining cost-effective to manufacture.

Kendrion’s Pure Flow Pressure Regulator 48.3 helps medical device manufacturers on the path to MDR readiness. Regulatory demands for medical technology are continually intensifying. The European Medical Device Regulation (MDR), along with standards such as DIN EN ISO 10993, 15001, and 18562, is making the development, documentation, and approval processes for new medical devices increasingly complex. Kendrion's Pure Flow Pressure Regulator 48.3 offers a tailored solution for medical applications, enabling manufacturers to accelerate qualification processes and reduce overall development times.

Robotics manufacturers, system integrators, and users face the challenge of incorporating the updated requirements of ISO 10218:2025 into future robotics projects. Kendrion's Safety Architecture for Robotics provides an open solution featuring a SIL3/PLe certified Safety PLC paired with a robotics library for kinematic safety functions. The safety controller combines motion, force, and zone monitoring into a single platform, enabling targeted support for future safety requirements. The architecture, which is independent of manufacturers, can be seamlessly integrated into robotics applications that utilize EtherCAT.

With VIPER Motor Control, Kendrion presents a customer-specific, sensorless motor controller for battery-powered applications in forestry and agriculture, as well as in the construction and mining industries. The controller enables manufacturers to meet the growing demands for efficiency, performance, and robustness in electrified off-highway applications. VIPER provides them with a powerful foundation for the electrification of demanding tools.

With the Slim PM, we have launched a compact permanent magnet brake for servo motors with low to medium torques. The new series is designed for applications in automation, medical technology, and robotics. For OEMs, it is not just the brake itself that matters, but its place in the system: Our Slim PM and High Torque Line use the same mechanical and electrical interface. This allows different torque ranges to be covered with a consistent brake technology without having to redesign the motor. The customer pays only for the exact torque actually required in the respective application.
