Secure door locks for vending machines - made in Europe
Vending machines and self-service systems provide round-the-clock access to food, beverages, and non-food products. Since these machines are often operated unattended, doors and hatches must be reliably secured against tampering, vandalism, and unauthorized access.
Kendrion offers two compact locking solutions for this purpose: the proven SL/AL solenoid lock for a wide range of industrial applications and the particularly space- and energy-efficient Ultra Compact Lock for modern, especially battery-powered vending machine concepts.

Solenoid door lock SL/AL
The SL/AL magnetic lock enables reliable locking of doors and flaps in vending machines — with or without a seal.
The electromagnetically actuated lock is available in both self-locking (SL) and active-locking (AL) versions and allows for simple electrical control. With a static holding force of up to 1,600 N, up to 100,000 switching cycles, and fast unlocking, it is designed for frequent and rapid operation. Optional emergency unlocking and position sensing enhance functionality and operational reliability.

Ultra Compact Lock
The Ultra Compact Lock was developed specifically for space-constrained and battery-powered locking systems.
Its innovative shape-memory wire technology reduces energy consumption, thereby extending battery life. This can reduce the number of service calls required for battery replacement.
With dimensions of just 45 × 45 × 15 mm, a static latching force of up to 5,000 N, and optional shock resistance of up to 300 g, the Ultra Compact Lock combines a very compact design with high mechanical strength.
