Reliable and versatile locking solutions for doors

KENDRION, as a manufacturer of technically advanced locking systems, has developed a reliable, compact electromagnetic locking system that can be used in a wide range of applications.

The door lock is used in door locking technology and access control, aviation, medical, and analysis technology, as well as devices and industrial systems. The cost-effective solution offers high closing forces with compact dimensions. It is suitable as a standard solution for various closing tasks, such as in combi-steamers, steam cookers, ovens, autoclaves, or washing machines.

The Solenoid door lock offers different functions and two operation modes.

The magnetic lock is equipped with integrated sensors to detect the locking position and offers an emergency opening function. Depending on the application's requirements, it can be designed to be either monostable or bistable. In the monostable version, the lock locks the door automatically as soon as the striker engages the door hook. To unlock, the lock is briefly energized. In the bistable version, on the other hand, the solenoid lock must be energized briefly at all times to lock and unlock.

Locking of disinfection and sterilisation devices

Compliance with high hygiene standards plays an important role in medical technology. The Kendrion magnetic lock serves as a reliable locking solution in disinfection and sterilization devices.
With an impressive holding force of at least 1,600 N, the electromagnetic lock remains firmly closed even under demanding conditions such as strong vibrations. The service life of 100,000 switching cycles, simple operation, and various locking functions make it versatile, e.g., also for applications in cabinets, centrifuges, and incubators.
