Kendrion develops ECONO into an open automation platform. Machine builders and OEMs are looking for proven, production-ready control platforms with hardware and software that can be tailored to each machine’s requirements. In response to demand seen in numerous customer projects, Kendrion has further developed its ECONO automation platform. The idea behind it: enable customization without having to develop a new controller for every application.

Machine builders face an increasingly demanding brief: greater safety, a smaller footprint, lower energy consumption and greater adaptability, often all at once. Growing demands for connectivity, power density, and functional integration make that balancing act even more complex. At SPS 2026, Kendrion will show how these developments translate into practical machine solutions. From November 24 to 26, visitors to its stand in Nuremberg (Hall 4, Booth 418) can explore robotics safety and new brake concepts alongside functional safety in drives, intelligent control technology, and electric process heat. Several innovations will debut around the exhibition.

Real innovation takes more than a good idea. It takes strong technology partners that bring their expertise together and turn complex requirements into a working solution, from development through to series production.

Kendrion expands its Pure Flow Line by introducing a new High Flow Pressure Regulator designed for dynamically changing flow rates. It is available in two variants: the HFF 48.4, which features a flange connection, and the HFC 48.5, which has a cartridge design suitable for integration into manifold plates. This regulator precisely controls flow rates from 0.1 to 250 l/min and incorporates inlet-pressure and flow-rate compensation to ensure a consistent outlet pressure. It can handle inlet pressures up to 10 bar.

With the new SHS (Small Heating System), Kendrion brings industrial low-temperature induction heating into the power range up to 2 kW. The solution is designed for smaller machines and automated processes, where precise process heat is often generated using slow-reacting or energy-intensive heating systems. Its primary target groups are machine builders and OEMs across the food, packaging, textile, and plastics industries.

Kendrion introduces the FIO Drive Control STO, marking its first integration of a SIL 3/PL e-certified Safe Torque Off (STO) function into the modular FIO drive solution. This compact 4-quadrant servo drive for stepper and BLDC motors incorporates the dual-channel STO directly into the module, allowing safe torque shutdown without needing an extra STO module, all within a mere 25 millimeters of width.
