The CODESYS Automation Server is the industry 4.0 platform for professional automation. By means of modern web technologies, the CODESYS Automation Server supports automation engineers in typical tasks, which could only be solved in a very complex way until now. Thus the system enables the comfortable administration and remote control of PLCs and the software running on them via browser on PC, tablet and smartphone. The CODESYS Automation Server runs in a public cloud infrastructure with high availability and accessibility. The desired controllers are always connected to the CODESYS Automation Server via an Edge Gateway, which abstracts the controllers and thus clearly separates IT and OT networks. Safety is the top priority for the automation server, so that production and control data, source code and other sensitive information are always optimally protected.
