ATEX solenoids

Explosion-Proof Solenoids

ATEX solenoids from Kendrion consist of a pot magnet and a connection housing made of aluminium, which offers a connection option for the protective conductor in accordance with EN 60079. They are particularly temperature resistant (temperature class T4, up to +135°C ) and meet the Ignition Protection Type "Increased Safety", Ex "e". The solenoids do not assume temperatures above the temperature class of gases that may occur and do not form electrically or mechanically generated sparks. They comply with the European ATEX Directive 2014/34/EU for equipment and protective systems intended for use in potentially explosive atmospheres. High forces, dynamic switching and a long service life characterize ATEX solenoids from Kendrion. The explosion-proof solenoids are mainly used where sparking occurs in potentially explosive atmospheres, such as in mining, refineries or on oil platforms.
