Advanced shutter systems are used in many technical processes in medical technology, analytics, product labeling, and distance measurement. The KENDRION DS200x8n laser shutter combines high mechanical durability with the ability to detect position and mirror temperature.
The shutter, which is made entirely of aluminum, impresses with its functions. It has an extremely fast closing time of 15 ms. When the shutter is closed, the laser beam is absorbed in the light trap. The reflection mirrors are available for a wide range of wavelengths. The reflectivity of the mirrors is redundantly temperature monitored. Final assembly is carried out under cleanroom conditions. In combination with other features, such as end position detection with light barriers, redundant temperature monitoring of the mirror, sealing of the aperture in case of power failure, purge air connection and/or heat dissipation by additional water cooling, our optical shutters are a unique solution suitable for a wide range of applications.
