The FIO Controller LAN Motion is a powerful CODESYS controller for PLC and motion applications in machine and plant automation. The integrated CODESYS Motion software includes PLC functionality and combines machine control and motion control on a single platform. The Raspberry Pi Compute Module 4 with Quad-Core ARM Cortex-A72 provides the computing performance required for demanding automation tasks.
The controller can be directly and flexibly expanded with EtherCAT I/O modules from the FIO series via the side-mounted E-Bus. Digital and analog I/Os as well as communication and safety modules can be combined to create a modular automation system. Additional decentralized EtherCAT devices and drives are connected via EtherCAT OUT. Ethernet and OPC UA enable communication with higher-level systems. Passive cooling and the integrated mini UPS support reliable continuous operation in industrial environments.
