The FIO Controller CAN PLC is a powerful CODESYS controller for PLC, motion and robotics applications in machine and plant automation. The Raspberry Pi Compute Module 4 with Quad-Core ARM Cortex-A72 provides the computing performance required for demanding automation tasks. CANopen, Modbus RTU and Modbus TCP enable the integration of additional field devices.
The controller can be directly and flexibly expanded with EtherCAT I/O modules from the FIO series via the side-mounted E-Bus. Digital and analog I/Os as well as communication and safety modules can be combined to create a modular automation system. Additional decentralized EtherCAT devices are connected via EtherCAT OUT. Passive cooling and the integrated mini UPS support reliable continuous operation in industrial environments.
