Inductive Heating for Rotating Tools
Kendrion roller inductors provide uniform, contactless heating of rollers and cylinders used in plastics processing and textile applications. The homogeneous energy input enables reduced material thickness, lowers thermal mass, and improves process efficiency while reducing energy consumption. Roller inductors are designed using numerical field simulation and are adapted to the geometric and thermal requirements of the application. They ensure defined temperature distribution and reliable operation. The systems are suitable for continuous process temperatures of up to 300 °C and operate without water cooling, reducing infrastructure requirements, system complexity, and maintenance effort while increasing operational reliability.
