Contour inductors
Inductive Heating for Shaped Tool Surfaces
Kendrion contoured heating inductors provide uniform, contactless heating of complex tool surfaces. They are used in plastics processing and food industry applications where precise and reproducible heat distribution is required. The homogeneous energy input enables reduced tool wall thickness, lowers thermal mass, and improves process dynamics while reducing energy consumption. Contoured heating inductors are designed individually for each application using numerical field simulation and are adapted to the specific geometric and thermal requirements.
The systems are suitable for continuous operating temperatures of up to 240 °C and operate without water cooling. This reduces infrastructure and maintenance requirements while increasing operational reliability.
