From Individual Components to Complete Locking Systems
Our locking systems impress with holding forces of up to 1,600 N and an exceptionally long service life. For industrial ovens and washing machines, particularly compact versions are available—perfectly designed for limited installation space. In parcel lockers, our locks stand out with additional features such as tamper resistance, condition monitoring, and remote unlocking.
For decades, we have been supplying the industry with a wide range of magnetic locks and motorized locking systems. Motor-driven locks gently and power-monitored pull machine doors into the seal, making them suitable for various installation scenarios. They offer a travel range of 4 mm to 40 mm and generate closing forces of up to 400 N. Our motor locks are equipped with position sensors and can be adapted with different emergency release functions as required.
The self-locking motorized locking systems consume no power in standby mode and keep doors securely locked even when unpowered.
“Safety doesn’t have to be complicated. Our plug-and-play locking systems provide immediate functionality—without complex commissioning,” says Laurence Setijoso, Market Segment Manager Magnetic Technology in Malente.
Thanks to their compact dimensions, the locks can be integrated into applications with just a few simple steps.

Magnetic Locks with High Holding Forces
Kendrion’s magnetic locks achieve holding forces of at least 1,600 N. These locking systems offer a service life of 100,000 switching cycles and are highly compact (70 x 70 x 18 mm). Our magnetic locks are available in monostable versions (self-locking) and bistable versions (active locking). They are ideal for securely locking vending machines, commercial ovens, medical devices, and laboratory centrifuges.
Electromechanical Rotary Lock
Our electromechanical Rotary Door Lock (RL) was designed for industrial washing machines and dryers. The RL operates on the principle of compression locking, enabling safe sealing and locking in applications where moisture, temperature, or gases are present.
Thanks to its operating principle, the Rotary Door Lock is also the ideal solution for securing swing doors in industrial ovens, laboratory sterilizers, and combi steamers.”
The system achieves a sealing compression force of up to 400 N with a compression travel of just 4 mm.
Safety and Durability
Our locking solutions meet both VDE finger protection standards and safety-relevant regulations (EN 50571:2013) thanks to the use of sensors and patented mechanics. By using state-of-the-art housing materials, our solutions can also operate reliably in environments with temperatures up to 100 °C.
