Latching solenoids - product information
Latching solenoids of the Classic Line are single-stroke solenoids for short term and intermittent operation with an ascending magnetic force characteristic.
Monostable latching solenoids: integrated permanent magnets with a certain holding force hold the armature after the pull-in phase in the stroke end position without electrical energy being supplied. The electromagnetic force is basically used for the stroke movement and the permanent magnetic force for the currentless holding of the armature in the stroke end position. The release of the permanent magnetic force can be triggered by a voltage pulse.
Bistable latching solenoids: by means of a pressure spring this monostable design can be transformed into a bistable one. The armature is reset to the starting position and held there by a spring force. The armature is led on both sides with maintenance-free precision bearings, resulting in high resistance to wear. The latching solenoid can be mounted in any position but the force transfer should be in axial direction only.
All products are manufactured and tested according to DIN VDE 0580/07.2000.
