Product Information
The AC solenoids of the Kendrion System Line are manufactured out of high-quality magnetic sheet metal. This design allows for fast switching times and dynamic force behaviour.
In general it has to be made sure that the solenoid armature reaches its stroke end position, i.e. after completing the activation the pole face of the armature has to rest on the pole face of the solenoid housing, the yoke. Please note that the AC solenoid has a high power consumption if the armature is open which may result in excessive warming and ultimately a burning of the coil if the pull-in process is interrupted.
The stroke movement takes place from the stroke starting position to the stroke end position (active direction of movement), while the armature reset is accomplished by external forces, e.g. by spring, weight or magnetic forces (passive direction of movement).
The main solenoid systems are:
The solenoid systems of the type WL have a U-shaped yoke and a T-shaped armature, creating a high pulling force.
Solenoid systems of the type WTI have an I-shaped armature, making this type particularly suitable for large strokes.
Solenoid systems of the type WLF have the same design as the type series WL, but they are integrated into a closed aluminum housing providing special protection. This housing allows for particularly effective heat dissipation and use under relatively rough conditions.
All products are manufactured and tested according to DIN VDE 0580/07.2000.
