Valve Manifold integrating Soft- and Hardware

The intelligent valve manifold from KENDRION for sensor cleaning consistently meets the safety requirements of the autonomous driving industry for a safe driving experience.

They use inputs from sensors, processors and actuators. If the sensors embedded in the vehicle are not perfectly clean in all weather conditions, the vehicle must stop using the system that depends on that particular sensor. As vehicles are becoming increasingly “smarter”, clean sensors will be “mission critical”. A dirty sensor means the vehicle cannot continue on its trip. 

The modular sensor cleaning system distributes cleaning fluid and air to all relevant systems, including optical sensors, LiDAR and cameras. Integrated hardware and software enable effective status reporting. It opens the door to a truly intelligent and autonomous operation.
