Who is behind TOP 100?
Compamedia GmbH organises benchmarking projects for small and medium sized businesses. Their partners employ objective and scientifically well-founded methods to analyse all management areas in order to determine the best companies in this category. Responsible for the scientific management of the project is Prof. Dr. Nikolaus Franke and his team from the University of Economics in Vienna, which also is an independent scientific authority in this field. A specific benchmarking study is used to compare all participating companies.
The final decision is arrived by a jury or renown experts in fields such as economy, science, media and politics, including Prof. Dr. Roland Berger (business consultant), Sabine Christiansen (ARD anchor women), Dr. Michael Groß (olympic swimming champion), Cem Özdemir (chairman of Bündnis90/Die Grünen) and Steffen Klusmann (chief editor of Manager Magazin) who also serves as the spokesman of the TOP 100 jury. Together with Ranga Yogeshwar as mentor, the TOP 100 jury awards the most innovative small and medium-sized companies in Germany.
What exactly does TOP 100 analyse?
The innovative potential of a company is determined by taking five categories into consideration:
- Innovative success
- Innovation supporting top management
- Innovation climate
- Innovative processes and structures
- Innovation marketing
The benchmarking also takes industry-specific characteristics of the company into consideration.
