History
Kendrion started out in 1859 under the name Schuttersveld, a familiar name in the field of textile production for over a century, based in Enschede, the Netherlands. In 1984, new activities blew new life into the company and started Kendrion off in a promising new direction.
The acquisition of the Vink group followed in 1991. Vink's development has been driven by rapid European growth. At the time of the acquisition, the Vink group had activities in 3 countries. Today Vink's USPs and perfect logistics processes have given the Vink business a presence in 11 countries. On 12 February 2009 the Vink group has been sold.
The 1997 acquisition of Binder Magnete set the stage for the current Kendrion. At the end of 2007, the acquisition of the Linnig Antriebstechnik group took place. In 2008 the company Tri-Tech, LLC (USA) was acquired.
In mid-2001, the company decided to change the name from Schuttersveld to Kendrion, to reflect a clear focus on niche market leadership in business-to-business markets with a focus on healthy, autonomous growth and profit.
